Rotterdam: A World City for Expats
In the last 10 years, the international community in Rotterdam has dramatically increased. Currently, there are around 170 different nationalities represented in the city of Rotterdam. Many companies and private individuals have chosen Rotterdam as their European location to live and work. This is of course not surprising as the city of Rotterdam has the second largest port in the World after Shanghai. With all that Rotterdam has to offer its residents, it is no wonder that so many expatriates have decided to call it home.
Amsterdam: A city of channels and culture for expats.
It is the financial and cultural capital of the Netherlands. A village, if you compare it with Paris, London, Berlin or NY. Because of that in Amsterdam you can find little shops around the corner but also worldwide enterprises. It is charming but also crowed city. Many large Dutch institutions have their headquarters there, and 7 of the world's top 500 companies are based in the city.
The Hague: A history government city for Expats
The Hague is the third-largest city in the Netherlands. It is the actual seat of government. All foreign embassies and government ministries are located in the city, as well as The Supreme Court, the Council of State and many lobbying organisations. Many international people choose to live in this city because its provides them with the opportunity to develop contact at the government level or among international companies.
